Take a step back and enjoy the view. Most of my life I’ve spent not happy with where I am. I wanted to be a self-made millionaire by 21, then 25 and then 30. How dissapointing this was year after year. Well.... I’m now 37 and still don’t have a million bucks. Gratefully, what I do have is a new found definition of success and happiness. It’s not what I have or necessarily what I’ve accomplished, but discovering the HOW and the WHY of living my life.
Instead of being unhappy with what I don’t have or what I haven’t accomplished, I’m being thankful for what I do have and what I have done…even the small stuff.
Wise men have said, that we are all billionaires - that any wealthy blind person would give their fortune just to see. Any wealthy crippled person would give their entire fortune just to walk. And so on...
Lesson Learned: Would you take a blank check from a billionaire in exchange for your health? Your family? Your sight? Who you are? I think not. So start feeling like a million bucks! Let’s all take a macro view of our lives - look at all we have and all that we have done. You just might be surprised. And if you’re not, CREATE more of what truly brings you happiness. I promise you, it’s not more stuff or money.
