I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me. That says a lot about how much you care about your community. We have that in common.
The first thing I would like you to know about me, is that I have been a community organizer for the past 25 years. Understanding how to work together towards a common goal, I believe, is one of my greatest strengths and our greatest strength as humans.
I was born and raised in Chittenango, NY, and lived in New York City before moving to Wurtsboro five years ago. What brought me to Wurtsboro was the vast beautiful nature, small town and freedom to create a good life for my family. My wife and I have been restoring a 160-year-old mountainside farm. Tending to the gardens, orchard, and animals here keeps us busy—and often scratching our heads. Growing cherry trees and keeping chickens alive have been particularly challenging for me.
Once a week, my wife and I (well, mainly my wife) hosts a children’s nature program at our home with local families. Meeting fellow parents and giving our son a chance to grow with other children has been an answer to our prayers. I host a monthly gathering for men at our home. As a group, we stretch, work out and do something men rarely do - talk.

I never imagined I’d have an interest in government—until I became a father.
As a husband, a father of two boys, a business owner, a gardener, and an outdoorsman, I know how important community is. I’ve seen firsthand the impact one person can make here in Wurtsboro, and the positive impact this community has had on me and my family. I’m looking forward to doing my part to create the beautiful future I know is possible when we work together as a village.
Your vote truly matters in this election come November 3rd, when there are typically only 300 votes cast in Ward 4. I look forward to earning your trust and your vote.
Where I stand.
We are fortunate to live among protected lush forests and clean water, fresh air, and abundant wildlife. It can be easy to take these gifts for granted, but they are vital to our way of life. We live within a delicate ecosystem, and I want to help care for it so future generations can enjoy it even more than we do.

Our local businesses give our town its character and help our neighbors make a living. I want to hear what business owners need, look for ways to remove unnecessary obstacles, and help more people build something here.

I believe the health of a community is reflected in its children. Families need places to gather, children need room to grow, and parents need to know they can count on their neighbors. I want to listen to local families and help make Mamakating a place where they feel supported and connected.

I believe that no one is coming to create the future we want for us. That responsibility belongs to us. How can we, as a small community, rely more on one another? I want to explore ways we can work together to meet local needs, share what we know, and build systems that make life better for our neighbors. I don’t have all the answers. Let’s explore what’s possible together.
